Refund Policy
Your first month is fully refundable for any reason within 30 days.Annual plans are refunded for every whole month you have not used. You cancel yourself in one click from your account page, with no call, no email, and no reason required. Cancelling never touches the quotes and invoices you have already made.
Monthly plan
$29 a month. Cancel any time and the next charge does not happen. If you cancel in the first 30 days after your first payment, tell us and we refund that payment in full.
After the first month we do not refund a month already in progress, because you had the use of it. We also do not bill you for the next one.
Annual plan
$290 a year. If you cancel partway through, we refund every whole month you have not used. Cancel after four months and eight months come back to you.
This is the whole term. There is no clause underneath it that makes the annual plan a commitment. It is a discount for paying once, not a lock.
How to cancel
Open your account page and click cancel. It goes through the billing portal, which is run by our payment processor rather than by us, so it works whether or not anyone is at a desk on our end.
You will not be routed to a retention offer, asked to schedule a call, or told that someone will get back to you. If clicking cancel ever fails to cancel, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
What we will not do
- We will not renew an annual plan without telling you first. Stripe emails you before it happens, and if it catches you anyway, the unused months come back.
- We will not roll a monthly plan into an annual term. Monthly stays monthly.
- We will not hide the cancel button behind a support ticket or a phone queue.
- We will not keep charging a different card after you have cancelled.
- We will not deactivate your account to stop you leaving. There is nothing to deactivate. Your files are in your browser.
- We will not require a reason before processing a refund you are owed.
If we ever shut this down
One person runs this. If it stops making enough to be worth running, here is exactly what happens, written down in advance rather than decided later:
- Everyone paying gets an email at least 60 days before the closing date.
- Billing stops immediately. The current period is refunded for the days not used.
- The site and the export button stay online for those 60 days.
- Your quotes and invoices are unaffected, because they were never on our server.
That is the whole plan. It is short because there is nothing to migrate and nobody to get stuck behind.
Asking for a refund
Email support@hvacquotesoftware.com from the address on your receipt and say you want a refund. There is no form for it and you do not have to explain. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and take however long your bank takes, usually five to ten business days.
That address is a real inbox read by the person who built this, not a ticket queue. If it takes more than a working day to hear back, send it again.
Refund and cancellation questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
From your account page, in one click, through the billing portal. There is no form to fill in, no support ticket to open, no phone call to sit through, and no reason to give. Cancelling stops the next charge immediately.
Do I get a refund if I cancel partway through the year?
Yes. Annual plans are refunded for every whole month you have not used. If you paid $290 and cancel after four months, you are refunded for the remaining eight.
Is the first month refundable?
Yes, in full, for any reason, within 30 days of your first payment. Email us and say so. You do not have to explain what did not work, though we would like to know.
Do I lose my quotes and invoices when I get a refund?
No. They are stored in your own browser, not on our server, so a refund does not touch them. The export button keeps working after your subscription ends.
