Terms of Service

You pay by the month, you can stop any month, and the quotes and invoices you make stay on your own machine whether you are paying or not. Everything below is the detail behind those three sentences.

Nothing here contradicts the other pages

Refunds and cancellation are governed by therefund policy. What we hold about you is governed by the privacy policy. Those pages are the authority on their own subjects, and if anything here ever appears to say otherwise, they win. This page does not hide a clause that takes back something another page promised.

What you are buying

A subscription to HVAC Quote Software, at $29 per month or $290 per year, giving you the quote and invoice builder, your own branding on the documents, PDF export, and CSV export for QuickBooks Online. There is one plan and no per-user charge. The duct sizing charts are free to everyone and are not part of the subscription.

What we will not do

These are commitments, not descriptions of the current state:

  • We will not put you on an annual contract or a minimum term.
  • We will not require a phone call, a form, or a reason in order to cancel.
  • We will not contact your customers, ever, for any reason.
  • We will not take over, port, or use your phone numbers.
  • We will not write anything into your accounting software.
  • We will not charge per technician.
  • We will not disable your ability to export your own data, including after you stop paying.

Your data and your files

Your quotes, invoices, customer details, prices, and logo belong to you. They are stored on your device and we do not receive them, so we cannot claim any licence over them and could not hand them to anyone if asked. The documents you produce are yours to use however you like.

Because they live on your device, keeping them is your side of the deal. Switching computers or clearing your browser removes them, and we have no copy to restore. The export button exists for exactly this and we recommend using it regularly.

What we do not warrant

The tool is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of defects or that it will suit any particular job. You are responsible for the numbers on documents you send to your customers. Check the totals before you send a quote, the same way you would check them if you had written it out by hand.

The duct sizing charts are everyday reference data calculated from published engineering equations. They are not an engineering design, not a Manual J or Manual D submittal, and not a substitute for a licensed professional reviewing the system.

To the extent the law allows it, our liability for any claim connected to this service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Given the price, that is a small number, and it is a fair reflection of what a thirty dollar a month tool can reasonably carry.

Acceptable use

Use it to run your contracting business. Do not use it to produce fraudulent documents, do not try to break into other people's data (there is none of it here to break into), and do not resell access to it. If you do any of that we can end your subscription and refund the unused part.

Changes to the service and the price

If the price goes up, existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at for as long as they stay subscribed. We will not raise your rate quietly and then point at a clause. If we remove a feature you rely on, email us and we will refund you.

Ending it

You can cancel any time from the billing portal, and therefund policy says what you get back. We can end the service too, and if we do, the closing procedure is written out in advance on therefund page and theprivacy page: 60 days notice, billing stops immediately, the unused part is refunded, and export keeps working through the whole window.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States. Questions go to support@hvacquotesoftware.com, which is read by the person who built this.
